
Research Support Committee
augments and enhances the expertise of the project teams, and provides opportunities for cross-fertilization across projects
- Statistical and Programming Support: analysis and interpretation of data; sampling methodology; statistical inference; file construction and security
- Clinical Support: clinical expertise relevant for project planning, research design, interpretation and dissemination of findings
- Methods Support: information and consultation on selection and use of appropriate measures and data collection techniques; development of performance measures; secondary analyses
Quality Assurance Committee
reviews all projects and products resulting from the Center, to enhance quality and contribute to the sharing of ideas across projects
- Identify appropriate outlets
- Review proposals for new research funded by or stemming from the Center
Training and Mentoring Committee
fosters the development of students and junior investigators, as well as other professionals
- Pilot Projects: funds will be available in years 3-5 of the Center to conduct pilot studies relevant to the theme of the Center
- Training and Education: pre- and post-doctoral training and research opportunities; mentoring of junior staff to encourage independent research and grant submissions; bimonthly research forums; substance abuse courses and seminars
Dissemination Committee
leads the technology transfer strategy, directing the dissemination of information learned from the Center's activities via multiple outlets
- Website to provide critical information about the Center, promote ongoing and current activities, and provide continual access to Center products
- Technology Transfer Speakers' Bureau will provide a means to integrate our findings into real-world settings, educating other researchers, practitioners, and policy makers
- Reprint Series of Center publications
- Semiannual Newsletter to a broad audience of policymakers, human resource and benefit managers, treatment providers, and administrators
